[Anyone who happens by the bakery today will notice a set of tables setup in front of the store with a bunch of baked goods placed on top. They were mostly a variety cookies and cupcakes and there were currently too girls managing the table.

Yui and Madoka were settling behind the table, ready to give out the cookies and cupcakes to anyone that comes by. Don't worry, none of them were made by Yui...at least the ones Madoka knew were Yui's aren't there. Yui and Madoka also make a small announcement over the journal]

Welcome New Feathers! My name is Yui Konagi and this is my best friend, Madoka Kaname!

It's very nice to meet all of you...!

We're having a bake sale out in front of the bakery! Or well...it's not much of a sale since there's no money.

What Yui-chan is trying to say, is that we're giving away some cookies and cupcakes...if you'd like some!

Right! Anyone can come by and pick something up at the bakery. We're located in the plaza, so come find us! Oh and also...since Bryant-san is no longer here, the bakery no longer has someone managing it. I've been working here since Bryant-san hired me, but I don't think I could run this place on my own...and I can't really bake. So, if anyone who can and is interested in helping to keep this place going, let me know!

N-no way, I'm sure yours are just as good as these..! I'm only average at making cookies, after all.

Well, like, I can bake okay but my cookies never look very good. They always end up shaped all funny, you know?

Shaped all funny..? [ she's trying to imagine what they could look like. ]

... Like clowns? Those are pretty funny, I think..

Oh, um, not that kind of funny.

It's just like, my cookies never look...normal. They end up all blobby shaped instead of round. Did you do something with yours to make them come out so good?

[ Blobby shaped cookies, huh.. ]

I usually use cookie cutters..! Haven't you tried using those before? They come in all sorts of shapes, so it's really easy to make cute cookies with them..

Huh. I guess using one of those would probably help a lot. I usually just spoonfuls of dough on the cookie sheet...!

[She looks again to Madoka's cookies and smiles, a little nervous.]

They do look really tasty. Um, would be okay if I...?

.. Oh, yes! [ She nods - almost quickly and eagerly - but then tries to do it a bit more calmly with a shy. ]

I mean.. that's what they're here for, after all. Anyone at all can take them!

Gee, thanks~!

[Though it all looks pretty good, she carefully picks up just one cookie, not wanting to look greedy. She takes a bite and breaks into a smile.]

Hey, this is really good...!

[ It's okay, Ling in one of the threads above took like ten of them, taking just two is fine too..!! But all the same, Madoka looks pretty happy to hear that. ]

Ah, you like them that much..? .. Hehe, I'm so glad! We worked really hard on all of them so people might like them..

[She's fighting back the urge to wolf down the whole cookie all at once because, darn it, she is a proper young lady and damned if she'll have anyone else saying otherwise ~~except when she's a kid which is most of the time.]~~

It really shows! They're so totally good! ...Not to be like, nosy or anything, but do you guys, like, work in the bakery or what?

Not really.. [ she shakes her head. ]

You see.. the person who usually works here disappeared recently, and we thought we should do this to attract people and see if there's anyone interested in taking over. ... Well, that, and we thought people might like some cookies.

[Upon hearing that, her smiles falters, her shoulders slumping a little. She didn't know the person who ran the place very well, but...Well, he was good at his job as far as she could tell.]

Oh...that's too bad. And I'd been thinking of asking if I could help out around here so I could learn some stuff...

[ For a moment Madoka looks down in a similar way, but.. then she tries to be optimistic, slowly and carefully. ]

Well.. You could still ask the new owner once someone takes over, right? I'm sure they wouldn't mind letting you help..

I guess you have a point. But that's like, if someone takes over, right?

[But that's an awfully negative thing to say, isn't it?]

Oh! B-But I'm sure someone will~! After all, bakeries are wonderful, you know?

Of course, I believe there'll be someone who will..!

.. There.. just has to be someone kind and hard-working enough. That's all it takes.

And, there are lots of people like that here! So, um, of course someone will step up to manage the bakery! It would be like, way too much of a bummer if they didn't...
